Radon is a natural radioactive gas. It is colourless, odourless and found all over the world. It is produced by the decay of uranium and radium in the ground.
Positive Input Ventilation prevents the build-up of radon from the ground by creating a slight positive pressure in the house. The radon is therefore diverted and expelled outside your home directly.

When assessing the effectiveness of the different types of radon mitigation, the CSTB – Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (French Scientific and Technical Centre for Construction), determined that the results obtained thanks to VMI® systems are more satisfactory than those obtained using natural ventilation or a mechanical extraction system.

“Installing your products in Chardonnerets primary school in July 2007 led to excellent results.
Indeed, when measuring radon concentrations between 28 February and 4 May 2006 on the site, concentration represented between 527 Bq/m3 and 1087 Bq/m3, depending on the classroom.
After installing your units (1 per classroom volume = 230 m3), measurements taken between 31 July and 28 August 2007 reflected a concentration between 27 Bq/m3 and 72 Bq/m3 depending on the classroom.
These values are well below the first action threshold of 400 Bq/m3.”
